Banglamung walking street market to be held every weekend in December and January to boost domestic tourism

A walking street market is planned to be held every Friday and Saturday in December and January in Nongprue to boost tourism and help local residents.

The Nongprue Mayor Mine Chaiyanit told The Pattaya News that “The walking street market will be held in December and January on every weekend.”

“During these months the weather is going to be cooler as well as there will be multiple holidays such as Christmas, New Years and a Chinese New Year festival.”

“The walking street market will take place from Sutthawart Temple to the Mitkamon Intersection which is about 700 meters long.”

“The market will be held every Friday and Saturday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.”

“The market is aimed to support the local economy and allow our local residents to sell food and other items. There will be no rental fees or other cost for those who wish to set up a booth other than registration.”

“Lights will be set up as well as other decorations as the market is going to be in the timeframe when we commemorate His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, as well as celebrate Father’s Day and National Day.” The Mayor concluded.
